Cabin Colors

How epic is this little cabin?!

This is my brother’s 3-season cabin on their land that I’m constantly threatening to move into. I painted this mountain/tree scene there last summer. It is HIGH and I don’t love heights… so my sister-in-saw, Amy, helped me finish painting the tippy-top of the sky and sun… thank you Amy!

I designed the layout on my iPad (love Procreate!) It was quite the ordeal tracking down the paint colors I wanted to use… “painting shortage.” I think we nailed it though! I love how the blues and yellows look together in this space… cozy but vibrant and fun. I painted the entire background first and then added the trees on top.

I cannot forget to thank my 5-year-old magic helper, Benny boy, for hanging with me all weekend long… telling me lots of stories, helping me paint, making lots of messes for us to clean up, wiping off chalk lines, telling me to get to work, cracking jokes, telling me my painting overalls did not look good and I needed to wash them, climbing up on the ladder higher than I felt comfortable with, oooh-ing and aaah-ing at the paint colors, and being the absolute cutest company all weekend long. He even set up his easel to paint next to me <3 I LOOOOVE you!
